weakness  of mentality. It is a social disease that causes a heavy loss of a human life to go a long way of success in life independently. Frequently  independence discourages one's going forward to
development. It is the absence of self-confidence. Dependence means to rely on others entirely.

Dependence refers to holding the willingness of expecting regular help from others: Dependence refers to relying on the other's help entirely. It is in fact to live on on other's willingness and choice. It does not give one the inspiration to go on one's own way free. It is a great barrier for an independent person to go on in advance free. So it can be said that dependence is another name for staying back-footed.
